Karl-Anthony Towns believes there is room for improvement following his career night against the Knicks, if he indeed does have a higher ceiling, then he belongs on every FanDuel NBA roster.
The 100th game of Karl-Anthony Towns‘ career turned out to be his personal best.
During a 41-minute performance against the New York Knicks, Towns posted a career-high 47 points along with 18 rebounds, three blocks, two assists and a steal.
Only his production failed to lead his team to a victory, as Carmelo Anthony secured a New York victory with a last-second jump shot. The win was just the second of the season for the Knicks away from Madison Square Garden.
Even though he became the third-youngest player, at the age of 21, to score 47 or more points in a game and submitted the third-highest scoring total of the 2016-17 campaign and was just the ninth player in the last 30 years to submit a 45-point and 18-rebound performance, Towns was more concerned with Minnesota’s record dropping to 5-13.

Towns felt he could do more, citing his three missed free throws, failure to secure other rebounds and errant shots that contributed to the Timberwolves’ latest defeat, his 66th since being selected with the first overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft.
While Towns may have been frustrated from the result, his outing was hailed from FanDuel NBA players, as he posted 75.6 points in tournament play, as he dominated on both ends of the floor.

The 18 rebounds increased his season average to 10 per game, making him one of 14 players averaging a double-double this year, even though he has totaled just 10 double-doubles in 18 games played.

The 7-footer has improved as an offensive rebounder, averaging 3.2 per game, the fifth-most in the NBA, and grabbing two or more offensive rebounds in 17 times. Since being held without an offensive rebound by Memphis, Towns has averaged 3.8 over the past six games.
Minnesota has even found creative ways to set Towns up with easy scoring opportunities, as he is one of just 10 players averaging more than 4.0 points per game as the roll man on pick-and-roll plays.
The Timberwolves run the play nearly four times per game for Towns and are scoring points over 50 percent of the time.
Towns has an opportunity to avenge his defeat to the Knicks Friday night, as the two meet in New York to complete a home-and-home series.
Any FanDuel NBA roster should select him and hope he can submit an even more impressive showing in his 101st career game.
