Top Four Shooting Guards

  1. DeMar DeRozan ($9,200) vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
  2. C.J. McCollum ($7,400) vs. Chicago Bulls
  3. Sean Kilpatrick ($5,500) vs. Los Angeles Lakers
  4. Josh Richardson ($4,000) vs. Atlanta Hawks

Rationale:

  • It’s the other category DeMar DeRozan is averaging more than 30 per night that is just as encouraging for his presence on a FanDuel NBA roster. Along with his league-leading 34 points per game, DeRozan ranks sixth in the NBA in minutes at 37.1 a night. Toronto has kept him on the floor for more than 35 minutes a night since the season opener against Detroit. The extended time on the floor has paved the way to averages of 4.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals per game, enough to generate 44.9 FanDuel NBA points each night.
  • Miami guard Goran Dragic is still recovering from a sprained left ankle, but is making progress. Dragic is expected to miss his third consecutive game tonight as the Heat host the Hawks. Josh Richardson is still recovering from a partially torn MCL ligament, but has taken over the starting point guard job in the absence of Dragic. Richardson is averaging 10 points, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game since taking over starting duties, enough to garner consideration as a value play in FanDuel NBA leagues.
