4. Dennis Lindsey

Outside of the Golden State Warriors, nobody had a better summer than the Utah Jazz. General manager Dennis Lindsey can’t take credit for Dante Exum and Alec Burks getting healthy, nor will he be able to do so if Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors stay on the floor more this season.

But in addition to another year of recovery/internal growth for the core guys, Lindsey went out and added shooting, defense and veteran experience this summer by snagging George Hill, Boris Diaw and Joe Johnson.

Utah’s 2015-16 season was largely derailed by injuries, so if they stay healthy this season and everything finally comes together with the aid of that locker room leadership and improved depth, you can expect the Jazz to win a lot more than last year’s 40-game total.

Lindsey didn’t pull off any blockbuster moves this summer, nor did his moves launch Utah into the contender category, but the Jazz should be a vastly improved, defensively stifling team in 2016-17. If they do make significant strides, Lindsey’s understated summer should stand out.
