1. player. 149. 2nd overall pick from Texas, 2007 NBA Draft.. SF-SG. 2007-16. Kevin Durant

As a freshman at Texas, Kevin Durant stormed the nation as the consensus player of the year nationally while averaging almost 26 points and more than 11 rebounds a game.

With the second overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, the Seattle SuperSonics took Durant and set the tone for the franchise’s next decade.

Durant was the Rookie of the Year in 2007-08 and, after the team became the

Oklahoma City Thunder

in 2008, was the MVP in 2013-14, a seven-time All-Star, MVP of the 2012 NBA All-Star Game and a six-time All-NBA selection.

He finished second in the MVP voting in 2009-10, 2011-12 and 2012-13 and was fifth in 2010-11 and 2015-16.

Durant has led the NBA in scoring four times and was the top free-throw shooter in 2012-13, as well. He finished third in the league in minutes per game in 2011-12 and 2013-14, fourth in 2009-10 and 2012-13 and fifth in 2008-09 and 2010-11.

In 2015-16, Durant was third in the NBA in both scoring and free-throw percentage while adding All-Star and All-NBA honors to his resume. He averaged 28.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 steals in 35.8 minutes per game on .505/.387/.898 shooting in 72 games.

That was a terrific comeback from a lost 2014-15 campaign in which he was limited to just 27 games because of a broken foot.

He helped the Thunder to the 2012 NBA Finals, averaging 30.6 points, six rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.4 steals and a block in 42.6 minutes per game, shooting .548/.395/.839 in the five-game loss to the Miami Heat.

In a stunning decision on July 7, 2016, Durant signed a two-year, $54.3 million deal with the Golden State Warriors as a free agent, with the final season a player option.

In nine seasons in Seattle and Oklahoma City, Durant averaged 27.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks in 37.8 minutes per game, shooting .483/.380/.882.

He achieved the rare feat of shooting 50 percent overall, 40 percent from 3-point range and 90 percent at the foul line in 2012-13 (.510/.416/.905).
