He nailed down the starting center job almost immediately, earning All-Rookie honors in 2007-08. He was a four-time All-Star with the Hawks and was an All-NBA selection in 2010-11.

Horford was fifth in the NBA in field-goal percentage in 2010-11, as well.

He missed large chunks of both the 2011-12 and 2013-14 seasons with pectoral injuries, but was very effective throughout his time with the Hawks.

Horford expanded his game beyond the three-point line in 2015-16, almost quadrupling his previous career total for attempts last season. He averaged 15.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.5 blocks in 31.2 minutes per game on .505/.344/.798 shooting, earning another All-Star bid.

On July 8, 2016, he signed a four-year, $113 million free-agent deal with the Boston Celtics that includes a 15 percent trade kicker and a player option for the final season in 2019-20.

In nine seasons in Atlanta, Horford averaged 14.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 blocks in 33.5 minutes per game, shooting .535/.340/.798.

Horford is 33rd in NBA history with a field-goal percentage of .535.
