The Orlando Magic came onto the NBA scene during the 1989-90 campaign. Their early years were nothing to write home about, as the team won more than 30 games just once during its first three years in the league.

After missing the playoffs again during the 1992-93 campaign, things began to look up for the Magic. In fact, over the next 10 seasons, the Magic advanced to the playoffs eight times while acquiring game-changing talents in Shaquille O’Neal and Anfernee Hardaway.

During the early to mid 1990’s, the Magic advanced to the Finals in 1995, but were swept by the Houston Rockets. In spite of the collection of talent the team had, they never became the dynasty that many had expected.

The Magic earned its second Finals appearance in 2009, but came up short once again, falling to the Los Angeles Lakers in five games. Although Orlando has yet to win a championship, the franchise has had a number of solid players that have come and gone over the past 27 years.
