An All-American at Stanford as a senior, Knight averaged 16.3 points and 7.8 assists that season.
Knight was the 16th overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1997 NBA Draft and was named first team All-Rookie in 1997-98, finishing second in the NBA in steals
In January 2001, he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks and in June 2001, he was dealt to the Vancouver Grizzlies.
He moved with the team to Memphis and in September 2003 was traded to the Phoenix Suns.
In November 2003, he was on the move to the Washington Wizards before he was released in March 2004.
Three days later, he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks.
After being let go by the Bobcats, Knight signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Clippers in August 2007.
He was traded to the Utah Jazz in July 2008 and retired after the 2008-09 season.
Knight is 50th in NBA history with an average of 6.1 assists per game and 47th with an average of 1.7 steals per game.
