By Justin Rowan
The Milwaukee Bucks appear to have the foundation of a team that can make some noise in the near future. Here are some keys for their 2016-17 season.
After making the playoffs in 2014-15, the Milwaukee Bucks appeared to have taken a step back last season as they failed to make it back to the postseason. The team struggled offensively, finishing 24th in offensive efficiency and often looked disjointed throughout the year.
But Bucks fans shouldn’t be discouraged, as the young Bucks core showed tremendous potential last season. The team is still poised to become a powerhouse in the Eastern Conference.
While the team was unable to land a star in free agency, they made a few key additions that should assist them in taking a step forward this season. First-round pick Thon Maker will likely take time to develop, given how raw he is as a big man.
Luckily for the Bucks, they possess plenty of depth and will be able to bring Maker along at his pace to prevent him being asked to do too much too soon.
