Terry Cummings was coming off an All-American junior campaign at DePaul, where he averaged more than 22 points and almost 12 rebounds per game, when he opted to turn pro.

The San Diego Clippers made Cummings their choice with the second overall pick in the 1982 NBA Draft.

In two seasons in San Diego, Cummings averaged 23.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 36 minutes per game, shooting .508/0-for-4/.715.

He is ninth in franchise history with an average of 36 minutes per game, third with an average of 23.3 points per game and sixth with an average of 10.1 rebounds per game.

Cummings was a two-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA selection with the Bucks before he was traded in May 1989 to the San Antonio Spurs.

In November 1995, he returned to Milwaukee as an unrestricted free agent and in January 1997, he signed with the Seattle SuperSonics.

In September 1997, Cummings signed with the Philadelphia 76ers and was traded to the New York Knicks in February 1998.

In January 1999, he was traded to the Golden State Warriors, retiring in October 2000.

Cummings is 40th in NBA history with 1,183 games and 46th with 19,460 points.
