J.J. Redick was one of the top free agents of 2013 and the Los Angeles Clippers hoped to address their need for a floor spacer when they acquired the sharp-shooter in a sign-and-trade deal.

Redick signed a four-year, $26.9 million deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, who then swapped him to the Clippers. L.A. also sent a second-round pick to the Bucks and traded Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler to the Phoenix Suns, getting back Jared Dudley from the Suns in return.

His first season with the Clippers was wrecked by a broken hand as he was limited to just 35 games.

But he’s been a force since, leading the NBA in three-point shooting in 2015-16 after finishing fifth in 2014-15. Redick was fifth in three-pointers in 2014-15 and third in free-throw shooting.

In 2015-16, Redick put up 16.3 points in 28.0 minutes per game on .480/.475/.888 accuracy.

In three seasons in Los Angeles, Redick has averaged 16.1 points and 2.0 rebounds in 29,2 minutes per game, shooting .474/.445/.899, putting together the two best seasons of his career at ages 30 and 31.

He was the consensus national player of the year as a senior at Duke, averaging 26.8 points per game, and earned All-America honors in his final two seasons with the Blue Devils.

The Orlando Magic selected Redick with the 11th overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft.

Redick, who was a reserve on the Magic club that reached the NBA Finals in 2009, was second in the NBA in free-throw shooting in 2011-12.

With his contract expiring, Orlando dealt Redick to the Bucks in February 2013. He finished that 2012-13 season third in free-throw shooting.

Redick has one year remaining on his contract with the Clippers. He is 15th in NBA history with a three-point percentage of .412 and 10th with a free-throw percentage of .888.
