The Los Angeles Clippers added a former Sixth Man of the Year in July 2012, signing Jamal Crawford as a free agent.
He’s been as advertised for the Clippers, earning his second Sixth Man of the Year honor in 2013-14 and became the league’s first three-time winner in 2015-16.
Crawford was fourth in the NBA in free-throw shooting in 2014-15 and finished second in 2015-16, when he averaged 14.2 points and 2.3 assists in 26.9 minutes per game on .404/.340/.904 shooting.
In four seasons in Los Angeles, Crawford has averaged 16.2 points and 2.6 assists in 28.3 minutes per game, shooting .414/.352/.885.
Crawford played just 17 games as a freshman at Michigan, sitting out an NCAA-imposed suspension and averaging 16.6 points and 4.5 assists per game.
He was the eighth overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2000 NBA Draft and was traded to the Chicago Bulls on draft night.
With the Bulls in 2003-04, Crawford was fifth in the NBA in three-pointers.
In August 2004, he was traded to the New York Knicks and was dealt to the Golden State Warriors in November 2008.
Crawford was traded to the Atlanta Hawks in June 2009 and was named Sixth Man of the Year in 2009-10 before signing as a free agent with the Portland Trail Blazers in December 2011.
With Portland, he led the NBA in free-throw shooting in 2011-12.
Crawford signed a three-year, $42 million free-agent deal July 8, 2016, to remain with the Clippers, with the final season (2018-19) partially guaranteed.
He is seventh in NBA history with 1,933 3-pointers and 36th with a free-throw percentage of .861.
