Ray Allen had already been to seven All-Star games and was a three-time league leader in three-pointers before coming to the Boston Celtics.

He was acquired in a draft night trade in 2007 with the rights to second-round pick Glen Davis from the Seattle SuperSonics in exchange for Wally Szczerbiak, Delonte West, the rights to fifth overall selection Jeff Green and a second-round choice in 2008.

Allen took on a lesser role with the Celtics, giving up 7.5 shots per game from the previous season, but helped Boston win its first title in 22 years in 2008. He was still good enough to be named to three All-Star teams.

The Celtics reached the Finals again in 2010, falling to the Los Angeles Lakers in seven games.

Allen was second in three-point shooting in 2010-11 and fourth in 2011-12.

In July 2012, Allen signed as a free agent with the Miami Heat

In five years in Boston, Allen averaged 16.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 35.7 minutes per game, shooting .472/.409/.914.

Allen was a two-time All-American at Connecticut, averaging 23.4 points and 6.5 rebounds before declaring for the draft after his junior year.

He was the fifth overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 1996 NBA Draft, he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks on his draft night.

Allen was a three-time All-Star while in Milwaukee, leading the NBA in three-pointers in 2001-02 and finishing second in 1999-2000 and 2000-01 and finishing fifth in minutes per game in 1997-98.

Traded to Seattle in February 2003, Allen was a four-time All-Star with the Sonics.

He topped the league in three-pointers in both 2002-03 and 2005-06 and was fourth in 2004-05. Allen was also fifth in the league in minutes per game in 2006-07.

With Miami, Allen won another title in 2013 and went to the Finals in 2014.

He finished in the top 10 in free throw shooting 11 times in his career.

Allen is the NBA’s all-time leader with 2,973 3-pointers and is 19th with 1,300 games, 14th with 46,344 minutes played, 47th with 1,451 steals, 22nd with 24,505 points, 37th with a .400 3-point percentage and seventh with an .894 free-throw percentage.
