Since being selected at No. 47 overall in the 2006 NBA Draft, Paul Millsap has been one of the most steadily underrated players in the NBA. The former Louisiana Tech star has finally shaken the label of an underrated player.

Millsap is now a three-time All-Star and 2016 All-Defensive Second Team honoree who’s considered one of the Atlanta Hawks’ franchise cornerstones.

Millsap has long been a nightly double-double threat, but he’s become one of the most complete players in the NBA. He anchored a surprisingly dominant Atlanta defense in 2015-16, all the while maintaining incomparable versatility.

In 2015-16, he was the only player in the NBA to average at least 17.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game.

Millsap made the All-Defensive Second Team and made 74 3-point field goals. He’s also a low-post threat who can attack off the bounce, facilitate from the high post, and switch off of the pick and roll.

Millsap is finally receiving his due as one of the best and most well-rounded players in the NBA.
