With all due respect to the other players on this list, there’s no question that Stephen Curry is No. 1. The former Davidson Wildcats star turned national fame as a college basketball star into an ill-received opportunity in the NBA.

Though many doubted him when he was coming out of college, there’s no rational way to dispute his greatness today.

Curry won MVP in 2014-15 by emerging as the go-to scorer for the 67-15 Golden State Warriors. The Warriors went on to win the NBA championship, with Curry maintaining a large role as a scorer and facilitator.

It was in 2015-16, however, that Curry firmly solidified his place as one of the greatest players in NBA history.

Curry became the first player in NBA history to average at least 30.0 points and join the 50-40-90 club in the same season. He led the league in scoring and steals per game, and set an all-time record with 402 3-point field goals made—116 more than the previous record.

Curry is the greatest shooter to ever grace the hardwood and a true pioneer of the game.
