The Houston Rockets made a minor trade on draft night in June 2007, acquiring the rights to second-round pick Carl Landry from the Seattle SuperSonics in exchange for a second-round selection in 2008 and cash.

It turned out to be a pretty big deal getting the former Purdue standout that averaged almost 19 points and more than seven rebounds per game as a senior.

He was an All-Rookie selection in 2007-08 and a key bench contributor before he was part of a three-team trade in February 2010.

Landry was traded with Joey Dorsey to the Sacramento Kings, with the Rockets also sending Tracy McGrady to the New York Knicks. They got back Jordan Hill, Jared Jeffries and a first-round pick in 2012 from New York and Kevin Martin and Hilton Armstrong from the Kings.

In parts of three seasons in Houston, Landry averaged 11.2 points and 5.1 rebounds in just 22 minutes per game, shooting .569/1-for-4/.797.

He was traded to the New Orleans Hornets in February 2011 and signed with the Golden State Warriors as a free agent in August 2012.

In July 2013, he returned to the Kings as a free agent and in July 2015 was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Landry was limited to 36 games in 2015-16, recovering from wrist surgery early in the season and sidelined by back problems late in the year, starting 12 times and averaging 9.8 points and 4.1 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per game on .556/6-for-13/.736 shooting.

Landry is under contract with Philadelphia through 2016-17.
