The New Orleans Hornets acquired Al-Farouq Aminu as part of the biggest trade in franchise history, also getting Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman and a first-round pick in 2012 in December 2011 from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Chris Paul and two second-round selections in 2015.

Aminu was a fierce rebounder from the small forward spot, developing into a starter before leaving to sign with the Dallas Mavericks in July 2014.

Aminu was the eighth overall pick out of Wake Forest by the Clippers in the 2010 NBA Draft.

He signed with the Portland Trail Blazers as a free agent in July 2015 for four years and $30 million and is under contract through 2018-19.
