Devin Brown had been out of the league for a couple of months when he signed with the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets in December 2006.

He responded with his best season before leaving to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers in September 2007.

But after a season away, Brown returned to the Hornets, now back in New Orleans, in August 2008.

He was traded to the Chicago Bulls in January 2010 in exchange for Aaron Gray.

In parts of three seasons in Oklahoma City and New Orleans, Brown averaged 8.6 points, three rebounds and 1.6 assists in 21.9 minutes per game, shooting .396/.346/.792. He is not on any of the franchise’s all-time lists.

Brown was undrafted out of UTSA in 2002 and signed with the San Antonio Spurs in September of that year. Waived at the end of training camp, the Spurs brought him back in November 2002 before waiving him 16 days later.

In April 2003, he signed a 10-day deal with the Denver Nuggets after playing in the D-League.

He returned to the Spurs as a free agent in July 2003 and he was part of San Antonio’s NBA title team in 2005 before signing with the Utah Jazz in September 2005.

In July 2006, he was traded to the Golden State Warriors, who waived him in October 2006.

Unsigned as a free agent after the 2009-10 season, he played briefly in Poland in 2011 and in the D-League in 2012 and remains an unsigned free agent.
