It took West a couple of years to develop into a solid starter, but then he turned into a two-time All-Star, finishing fourth in the NBA in minutes per game in 2008-09.

He was a 20-point per game scorer in both of his All-Star campaigns, as well.

In December 2011, West left to sign as a free agent with the Indiana Pacers.

In eight seasons in New Orleans and Oklahoma City, West averaged 16.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and two assists in 32.4 minutes per game, shooting .490/.264/.839.

West signed as a free agent with the San Antonio Spurs in July 2015 and took on a lesser role, averaging 7.1 points and 4.0 rebounds in 18.0 minutes per game on .545/3-for-7/.788 shooting.

He opted out of the second year of his contract and instead signed July 9, 2016, as a free agent with the Golden State Warriors on a one-year, $1.5 million veteran’s minimum deal.
