Jamaal Magloire came to New Orleans with the Hornets when they moved from Charlotte, two seasons after being the 19th overall pick in the 2000 NBA Draft.
Magloire was an All-Star for the Hornets in 2004, but was traded in October 2005 after the team relocated to Oklahoma City to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Desmond Mason and a first-round pick in 2006.
In three seasons in New Orleans, Magloire averaged 11.9 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 31.7 minutes per game, shooting .470/0-for-4/.719.
In July 2006, he was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers and signed with the New Jersey Nets as a free agent in July 2007.
Waived by the Nets in February 2008, he signed four days later with the Dallas Mavericks before joining the Miami Heat as a free agent in September 2008.
In December 2011, Magloire signed with the Toronto Raptors and retired after being waived in October 2012.
He has been an assistant coach in Toronto since 2013.
