The New Orleans Hornets swapped big men in July 2009, acquiring former Rookie of the Year Emeka Okafor from the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for Tyson Chandler.
Okafor was efficient for the Hornets, finishing third in the NBA in field-goal percentage in 2010-11, but missing much of 2011-12 with a knee injury.
and a second-round pick in 2012.
In three seasons in New Orleans, Okafor averaged 10.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 30 minutes per game, shooting .547/0-for-1/.556.
Okafor was the second overall pick out of Connecticut by the Bobcats in the 2004 NBA Draft and was Rookie of the Year in 2004-05.
He was traded to the Phoenix Suns in October 2013, but missed the entire season because of a neck injury and has gone unsigned as a free agent since July 2014.
Okafor is 46th in NBA history with an average of 9.9 rebounds per game and 42nd with an average of 1.7 blocks per game.
