The Olympic Experience

There aren’t many experiences more beneficial to a player’s career than representing their country at the Olympics. It’s an incredible honor that’s reserved for the very best in their respective fields.

It’s also an opportunity to train and practice alongside the elite of the elite, as well as a stage with immeasurable pressure.

Thus far, he’s performed quite well.

Butler is currently playing for Team USA with NBA champions Harrison Barnes, Draymond Green, Kyrie Irving, and Klay Thompson. He’s also playing with surefire Hall of Famers Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant.

Throw in the fact that DeMar DeRozan, Paul George, and Thompson all either play his position or are competing in the same conference, and Butler is in the perfect environment.

Butler will have spent his summer practicing with and against some of the best players in the world. In other words, he’ll have had a chance to study their working habits and elevate his own game to maintain competitiveness in practices.

The Olympic experience has helped countless players elevate their respective games. Butler has been granted that same opportunity.
