Chicago Bulls wing Jimmy Butler has an opportunity to achieve superstardom. Chicago’s offseason has facilitated that growth.
This is Jimmy Butler‘s team. The cynical bunch will quickly reference Jerry Reinsdorf, the actual owner of the team, but great teams need an established alpha dog both on the floor and in the locker room.
Chris Bosh said as much during a recent appearance on Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons.
But I digress.
The Chicago Bulls have made a number of surprising offseason moves in 2016. That started with the trade of Derrick Rose, continued with letting Joakim Noah walk in free agency, and seemingly culminated with the signing of Rajon Rondo.
Just when Chicago appeared to be nearing the end of its free agency rope, it signed Dwyane Wade.
Many have questioned how the Bulls intend to make these moves work. Neither Rondo nor Wade nor even Butler have been commended for their ability to space the floor.
Fear not, Bulls fans, for Chicago has enabled Butler to make the leap to superstardom.
