The Minnesota Timberwolves made a big deal on draft night in June 2008, sending Antoine Walker, Marko Jaric, Greg Buckner and the rights to third overall pick O.J. Mayo to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal, Jason Collins and the rights to the No. 5 pick, UCLA All-American Kevin Love.

Love was an All-Rookie selection in 2008-09, but broke out in 2010-11 with NBA Most Improved Player honors.

He was a three-time All-Star for the Wolves and was named to two All-NBA teams, as well.

Love led the NBA in rebounding in 2010-11, was second in 2011-12 and third in 2013-14, while also finishing fourth in scoring in both 2011-12 and 2013-14.

He was also second in minutes per game in 2011-12.

A year away from free agency, Love was traded in August 2014 to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a three-team deal in which Minnesota also sent Luc Mbah a Moute and Alexey Shved to the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Timberwolves got back Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a trade exception from the Cavs and Thaddeus Young from Philadelphia.

In six seasons in Minnesota, Love averaged 19.2 points, 12.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 32.8 minutes per game, shooting .451/.362/.815.

In 2015-16, Love picked up his first NBA championship ring with the Cavaliers, averaging 16.0 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 31.5 minutes per game on .419/.360/.822 shooting.

Love is 20th in NBA history with an average of 11.5 rebounds per game.

He signed a new deal with the Cavaliers in July and is under contract through 2019-20.
