Milwaukee Bucks: 25 Best Players To Play For The Bucks
By Phil Watson
Michael Redd opted to turn pro after averaging more than 17 points and six rebounds per game as a junior at Ohio State, but fell to the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 2000 NBA Draft.
Injuries sidelined him for much of his rookie year, but he emerged as an All-Star in 2004 and an All-NBA selection in 2003-04 for the Bucks.
Redd was third in the NBA in 3-pointers in 2002-03 and second in 3-point shooting and was fifth in the league in scoring in 2006-07.
Plagued by knee problems late in his tenure with the Bucks, Redd played in just 61 games over his final three seasons in Milwaukee.
He left to sign as a free agent with the Phoenix Suns in December 2011.
In 11 seasons in Milwaukee, Redd averaged 20 points, four rebounds, 2.3 assists and a steal in 33.4 minutes per game, shooting .449/.383/.840.
Redd retired in November 2013.
