The Rest Of The Draft

With their other two second-rounders, the Grizzlies selected Rade Zagorac (No. 35) and Wang Zhelin (No. 57) — two draft-and-stash prospects who won’t be helping Memphis during the 2016-17 campaign.

Zagorac is a 6’8″ wing who has great length despite his lack of athleticism and perimeter shooting. This 20-year-old Serbian currently plays for Mega Leks, signing a two-year deal with the Serbian club this summer.

Zhelin is a mammoth Chinese center, standing at 7’0″ and 251 pounds. He’s already 22 years old, but Zhelin has a solid midrange touch and is worth keeping an eye on over the next few seasons until he’s ready for the NBA stage.

The Grizzlies could’ve used some assistance with their bench for next season, but Zagorac and Zhelin may wind up being useful down the road — provided they ever even make it to the NBA, of course.
