Ryan Anderson was not the big name that came to the Orlando Magic in a June 2009 deal with the New Jersey Nets.

Acquired with swingman Vince Carter in exchange for guards Rafer Alston and Courtney Lee and big man Tony Battie, it was Anderson who had the biggest impact in Orlando.

A power forward who could stretch the floor, Anderson earned Most Improved Player honors in 2011-12, when he led the NBA with 166 3-pointers.

In July 2012, Anderson was sent to the New Orleans Hornets in a sign-and-trade deal in exchange for big man Gustavo Ayon.

In three seasons with the Magic, Anderson averaged 11.4 points and 5.5 rebounds in 22.9 minutes per game, shooting .435/.388/.854.

He was the 21st overall pick out of California by the Nets in the 2008 NBA Draft. With New Orleans in 2015-16, Anderson averaged 17.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in 30.4 minutes per game primarily off the bench, shooting .427/.366/.873.

On Jult 9, 2016, he signed a four-year, $80 million free-agent deal with the Houston Rockets.
