Philadelphia 76ers: 25 Best Players To Play For The 76ers
By Phil Watson
Andre Iguodala was an intriguing upside prospect when he entered the 2004 NBA Draft after his sophomore year at Arizona during which he averaged almost 13 points, more than eight rebounds and nearly five assists per game.
The Philadelphia 76ers used the ninth overall pick to take the athletic swingman.
Iguodala was an All-Rookie selection in 2004-05, an All-Defensive pick in 2010-11 and an All-Star in 2012 for the 76ers, leading the NBA in minutes per game in 2008-09 and finishing fourth in steals in 2006-07.
In August 2012, Iguodala was sent to the Denver Nuggets in a massive four-team swap in which the Sixers also traded Maurice Harkless, Nikola Vucevic and a future first-round pick to the Orlando Magic and got back Andrew Bynum from the Los Angeles Lakers and Jason Richardson from Orlando.
In eight seasons in Philadelphia, Iguodala averaged 15.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.7 steals in 37.7 minutes per game, shooting .461/.331/.737.
Iguodala played one season in Denver before going to the Golden State Warriors in a three-team, sign-and-trade deal in July 2013.
With the Warriors, he was an All-Defensive pick in 2013-14 and made history in the 2015 NBA Finals by becoming the first reserve to win Finals MVP honors.
Under contract with Golden State through 2016-17, Iguodala is 45th in NBA history with 1,472 steals.
