Nicolas Brussino

  • Age: 23
  • Height: 6’7″
  • College: Argentina

Nicolas Brussino is another name to add to the list of overseas talent that the Mavs have taken a chance on.

With a partially guaranteed deal, he will have to earn a spot on the roster, but his time with Peñarol (Uruguay) and Regatas Corrientes (Argentina) has proved his worth as a guard/forward combo.

The video linked above highlights some of his recent games with the club and also provides clips of the skills he would bring to Dallas.

First off, Brussino would serve as the perfect swingman for any team. He’s capable of playing multiple positions and thrives from the inside and the outside. The video above shows his ability to get to the basket as well as his shooting from long range.

One thing that made Brussino such an attractive player is his constant improvement. Since his playing career began, he has increased his points per game average just about every season.

In 2015-16, he averaged roughly 15 points per game while shooting 47 percent from the field and 39 percent from three. RealGM happens to have some of his stats from past seasons and a few of his game logs if you would like to check out more of past accomplishments.

Brussino will likely be in a tough battle come time for training camp, but he’ll have a decent shot at making the roster as the Mavs could use a player that has size and can play both guard and forward positions.
