Waived under the amnesty provision by the Washington Wizards in July 2012, Andray Blatche landed on his feet with the Brooklyn Nets as a free agent in September 2012.

Blatche gave the Nets quality backup work at both center and power forward, but opted out of his contract in June 2014 to become a free agent.

He was a second-round pick out of South Kent (Conn.) High School by the Wizards in the 2005 NBA Draft and remained in Washington until he was waived in July 2012.

Blatche is preparing to play his third season in China in 2015-16.
