Danilo Gallinari came to the Denver Nuggets as part of one of the biggest trades in franchise history, acquired in February 2011 from the New York Knicks as part of a three-team deal.
Gallinari came from the Knicks along with Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler, Timofey Mozgov, cash, second-round picks in 2012 and 2013 and a first-round selection in 2014, with Denver also getting Kosta Koufos from the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In 2015-16, Gallinari was limited to 53 games, missing five games with an ankle injury in December before going out for the season in late February with more ankle trouble.

In parts of five seasons with the Nuggets, Gallinari is averaging 15.6points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 30.7 minutes per game, shooting .412/.359/.852.
Gallinari was the sixth overall pick by the Knicks from Olimpia Milano in Italy in the 2008 NBA Draft.
Gallinari is 44th in NBA history with a free-throw percentage of .855.
He signed a two-year, $31.5 million extension in August 2015 that kicks in this season that includes a player option for 2017-18.
