The much-traveled Tyrone Corbin made a stop in Salt Lake City during his long career, acquired by the Utah Jazz in a November 1991 trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Thurl Bailey and a second-round pick in 1992.

Corbin was primarily a reserve for the Jazz before being dealt in September 1994 with a second-round pick in 1995 to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Adam Keefe.

In parts of three seasons in Utah, Corbin averaged 9.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 28.2 minutes per game, shooting .488/.162/.837.

Corbin was a second-round pick out of DePaul by the San Antonio Spurs in the 1985 NBA Draft and signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers in January 1987 after being waived by the Spurs.

He was traded to the Phoenix Suns in February 1988 and taken by Minnesota in the June 1989 expansion draft.

In June 1995, Corbin was traded to the Sacramento Kings and was swapped to the Miami Heat in February 1996.

Released in July 1996, he returned to the Hawks as a free agent in September of the same year.

Atlanta waived Corbin in August 1999 and he signed with Sacramento as a free agent in October of that year.

He signed with the Toronto Raptors in October 2000 and was traded to the Detroit Pistons in February 2001, retiring after being waived the day after the trade.

Corbin later coached the Jazz from February 2011 through the 2013-14 season, posting a record of 112-146 in the regular season and 0-4 in the playoffs.

He was later interim head coach in Sacramento in 2014-15, with a record of 7-21.
