Miller signed as a free agent with the Houston Rockets in July 2010 and in June 2011 was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Traded to the New Orleans Hornets in July 2012, he was traded again two weeks later to the Phoenix Suns in a three-team deal.

Waived by the Suns in August 2012, Miller opted to retire.
