No. 8: New York Knicks

Projected 2016-17 record: 42-40

2015-16 record: 32-50

The Knicks have not made it to the playoffs in three years. Not only that, they’ve managed to win just 49 games combined over the last two seasons, including a conference-worst 17 wins in 2014-15.

Taking that into consideration, the front office has been active during the offseason to say the least. A five-player deal was executed that brought over Derrick Rose and Justin Holiday from the Chicago Bulls.

The Knicks also signed Joakim Noah to a four-year deal while adding Brandon Jennings and Courtney Lee to the mix as well.

While these moves will not transform this team into a championship contender, Knicks fans will have a product on the court they can be excited about next season.

And if their core of Anthony, Rose and Noah can remain healthy, there is no reason why this team cannot make it to the playoffs.
