With the offseason well underway, it’s time to evaluate players who are expected to have a breakout season in the NBA in 2016-17.

Even though we are reaching the dead period in terms of NBA action, the analysis never stops. Taking into mind the improvement by certain players this past season along with the offseason moves made by teams, it allows those players to continue to build off their success and insert their name in the conversation amongst the league’s best.

One group that was especially impressive was the rookie class from the 2015 NBA Draft. There were more than a handful of players who exceeded expectations during their first taste of the NBA game and have potential to become tomorrow’s superstars of the league.

There was also a mixture of players who have been in the league for a few years, but are now just hitting their stride and setting the stage for the remainder of their careers — not to mention some of them that hit their stride at the perfect time and cashed in on major contracts this summer.

Similar to every season, the 2016-17 campaign will give players a shot at furthering their legacy. Let’s take a look at the players who are most likely to have a breakout season.
