2. Milwaukee Bucks
With reports that the Milwaukee Bucks are looking to unload center Greg Monroe, Milwaukee will likely have an opening at the center spot. With Thon Maker still adjusting to the NBA game, Okafor would only have to battle with John Henson for the starting spot.
Although Henson is the same height as Okafor (6’11), the former UNC big man is better defensively and more athletic. Despite that, the offensive game of Okafor will be enough for him to start over Henson.
Okafor can also play the power forward spot and the Bucks could possibly play the both at the same time. This would be beneficial for Milwaukee as Henson could help cover up the defensive flaws of Okafor.
It would give Milwaukee a good balance of offense and defense along with length in their frontcourt.
The one main problem with this trade, however, would be what good return Philadelphia could get back for Okafor. The 76ers would likely want a wing in return and a guy like Khris Middleton could be someone of interest for them.
But would the Bucks be willing to part with one of their best shooters for Okafor? The deal would likely have to include more than a straight player-for-player swap for this trade to happen.
