(Western Conference Finals, Game 3)

The Dallas Mavericks had stolen the coveted home-court advantage with a 113-110  win in the series opener. That being said, the Spurs were in need of a road win to help restore order against their interstate rivals.

The teams went back and forth for the better part of three quarters, with the Spurs clinging to a slim 69-66 lead heading into the fourth quarter. In the final 12 minutes, the Spurs took control of the contest, opening the period with a 12-0 run en route to a 27-17 scoring edge.

When it was all said and done, the Spurs stunned the Mavericks with a 96-83 victory to take a 2-1 lead. Duncan scored a game-high 34 points (including 14 in the fourth quarter), hauled in 24 rebounds and handed out six assists.

Duncan rounded out his performance with six rejections as well.

San Antonio eventually won the series in six games, as Duncan averaged 28 points, 16.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 3.0 blocks per contest.
