There have been a lot of bad contracts given out this NBA offseason and we’ve put together the worst of the worst.

Thanks to the rising NBA salary cap, there was bound to be a litany of insane contracts given out this offseason. More money to go around means more money goes to guys who wouldn’t dream of being paid this much otherwise.

The huge contracts given out to seemingly anyone who wants one has sparked a lot of commentary from athletes and analysts alike, including this poignant tweet from Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams:

He’s absolutely right; there are a ton of guys now earning $10-plus million per year despite having either a poor or almost non-existent track record.

To put it in perspective, there are a number of players who just signed contracts worth more money annually than what unanimous MVP Stephen Curry will earn next season, including new Orlando Magic forward Jeff Green, who will be making $15 million.

This may be a controversial statement, but hear me out: Jeff Green is not as good as Stephen Curry.

But Jeff Green obviously isn’t the only player earning too much money as a result of this cap. Here are the five most overpaid players of 2016 NBA free agency.
