Indiana Pacers squad

The Pacers squad has the second-most cohesive unit in the Orlando Summer League, behind the Miami squad (not that it was enough to keep them from losing to the Hornets on Day 2).

The star so far of the Indiana squad’s Summer League is Glenn Robinson III, who is a third-year league veteran (his first two years in the league were spent with the Minnesota Timberwolves).

He has contributed 16 points for each of the past two games and has improved his passing and rebounding. He’s seeing an increased role this summer, one that should help him get more regular minutes during the upcoming season.

If the commercials are any indication Joe Young is considered to be part of the Pacers future. The second-year player been battling a sore tailbone and is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons, though he helped lead the team to its first win on Day 1.

I see him continuing to improve and see some more minutes this regular season.

(Fun fact: Young and Pacers star Paul George are actually blood relatives.)

Another to keep an eye on is Georges Niang, who was drafted at No. 50 by the Pacers during the 2016 draft.

With Myles Turner coming into his own and the free agency addition of Al Jefferson, Niang will probably see only garbage time during the regular season, but he could develop into a solid asset for the Pacers.
