The Calmer Seas of Day 2

Things tend to calm down a bit on the second day, and the quality of play improves. Players become more confident in what they’re doing, and have a clearer focus of why they are in the Summer League in the first place.

Day 1 film has been analyzed. Coaches have discussed strengths and weaknesses. Teammates begin to trust each other more. NBA veterans have taken rookies in hand and given them a few pointers to help them succeed, going forward.

Overseas veterans are (re)acclimating to the NBA style of play and enjoying the chance to get paid to play on American soil.

After two days of play (July 2 and 3), I noticed some interesting things. My thoughts are in no particular order, and are just random commentary. They are not meant as a firm indicator of future performance. Govern yourselves accordingly.

Here are my random takeaways on the Orlando Summer League after two days of play (July 2 and 3), by participating team.
