5 Roster Moves The Atlanta Hawks Need To Make
5. Guarantee Lamar Patterson
Lamar Patterson only played 35 games last year in the NBA. He was not that impressive but needs time to develop. He played 19 games in the D League where he averaged 12.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists.
Patterson was a late draft pick, being selected with the 48th pick of the 2014 draft. He needs to take the opportunity presented to him this year as Kyle Korver, the Hawks starting point guard is 35 and has no ready replacement.
The only competition for Patterson for that slot on the roster is Tim Hardaway Jnr who also spent periods in the D League and Malik Beasley who was taken at pick 21 in the draft.
Atlanta have been a good basketball team this for the last few years. The front office has obviously decided that the team that got them there was not going to go any further.
They have thrown their lot in with hometown boy in Dwight Howard and put their faith in Kent Bazemore with another large deal.
