5 Roster Moves The Boston Celtics Need To Make
5. Re-Sign Jared Sullinger
There is versatile. There is solid. Then there is Jared Sullinger whose solid versatility really works in the Brad Stevens model.
Sullinger almost averaged a double-double last year, starting as an undersized center for the Celtics. Standing just 6-foot-9, Sullinger averaged 10.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
Sullinger will never be an All Star, I will say that. However, if Boston could sign a big-name center or power forward, Sullinger would be a great player to come off the bench.
Sullinger could also slip into the power forward role if required, giving Boston an incredibly strong frontcourt to go with their already proven backcourt.
No matter what role Sullinger is given, he will continue to pick up numbers quietly and efficiently for the good of the team.
I believe that if Sullinger were to be on the bench full-time, he would be up there in total towel pick-up and no one would notice until you saw the clean floor.
It is this type of player that take you from a good year and being knocked out in the second round to a great year and playing for a championship. Provided you have the other pieces in place, that is.

Boston has the making of a great team. That’s not enough to get that championship, but with one more piece the Celtics will be a danger in the East.
