Charlotte Hornets

The Hornets had a great point guard situation last season with Kemba Walker and Jeremy Lin coming off the bench, but Lin opted for free agency and was quickly scooped up by the Nets.

Charlotte has a tough path ahead of them this summer. They have agreed to re-sign Nicolas Batum and would like to bring back Marvin Williams, but now that Lin has gone to Jack’s former team, perhaps Jack could be the man to fill Lin’s role.

He’s definitely going to come at a more affordable salary and their 2015-16 stats are not that different on a per 36 minute basis. Under those conditions Lin would average 16 points with just over four assists and one steal, while Jack’s numbers come in at 14.4 points but with over eight assists and more than a steal.

Jack did not shoot as well from the floor as Lin, but Lin is not exactly a lights out shooter so for the money, Jack may be the better fit as he would allow the Hornets to hang onto Batum and Williams and keep their team together.
