The Brooklyn Nets waived Jarrett Jack but there are other teams that should be vying for his services this summer.
The Brooklyn Nets’ rebuilding effort is underway and veteran point guard Jarrett Jack clearly did not fit their future plans. Jack was waived Thursday, freeing up additional cap space for the Nets, who just signed Jeremy Lin and just drafted guards Caris Levert and Isaiah Whitehead.
Jack will turn 33 this season and only played 32 games this past season before going down with a torn ACL. However, Jack has been a reliable contributor in his career.
For the past three seasons, Jack has averaged over 11 points per game and almost five assists per game. Last season, he averaged 12.8 points and 7.4 assists per game as a starter.
Jarrett Jack may not be a top priority for any team this summer, but many teams could find themselves in need of a steady hand off the bench. Here’s a look at five possible landing spots for Jack.
