5. Re-Sign Troy Daniels

Every team should have a young core. Charlotte has Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Cody Zeller, Jeremy Lamb, Frank Kaminsky, Aaron Harrison and Troy Daniels, who are 24 or younger.

For a team that was one game off finishing third in the Eastern Conference, this in an incredibly envious position to be in.

More from Hoops Habit

Of those players, only Daniels is out of contract this year and despite only appearing in 43 games this year and scoring 5.6 points per night, he is the type of player whose production will increase.

At the moment, Charlotte will not be offering much since they have too many players that they need to re-sign first, but they will be able to offer some of their younger players more next year when the salary cap is set to increase again.

Daniels has been the fourth option at shooting guard all year for Charlotte but will move up the bench the more that he plays.

Charlotte is in an enviable position around the league, as they have a large portion of salary cap available to sign their own players back.

They also have a young group coming up who will organically improve, meaning that if they can re-sign their players, they will challenge in the East for a very high seed.
