3. Re-Sign Marvin Williams

For anyone who has followed this series of works, they would know that I am a massive Marvin Williams fan.

There are not many non-star players who could go to any team and make them better. Robert Horry was one of them, and I think that Marvin Williams is a similar sort of player

Williams is the Charlotte Hornets’ glue, the man who, if Charlotte need 20 points, would give them 25, and if they needed 10 rebounds, he’d get them 12.

Williams plays with passion, commitment and a controlled aggression which any team would love to have.

Williams was the second pick in the 2005 NBA Draft and his numbers have never lived up to that billing, given his career average of 10.2 points per game. However, his heart and his passion make up for them in my mind.

Williams is on his third team in an 11-year career and at the age of 30 is looking to cash in on the remaining time he has in the league.

However, if he believes that Charlotte have a chance to win a championship, I am sure that he would sign back with them at a slightly lower rate than he could get by going to a team with a big salary cap like the Brooklyn Nets.
