3. Denver Nuggets

The rebuild of the Denver Nuggets is well under way. After adding one of the best players from last year’s draft in Nikola Jokic, as well as promising guards in Emmanuel Mudiay and Jamal Murray, the foundation is in place for the future.

While the team does have Kenneth Faried at the power forward position, they could use some spacing off of the bench at the power forward position to allow their guards space to operate.

Having Nicholson along with Darrell Arthur off the bench would give the Nuggets some versatility at the position, as well as an insurance policy for when Arthur’s contract is up.

Nicholson also has some experience playing with Jamal Murray on the Canadian national team, so it could give Denver an inside track on recruiting, based on the promise of more minutes in the future if it works out or if Faried gets moved.
