It’s that time again in the NBA. Free agency. Every July, the world is turned upside down from the signings that occur as teams begin to formulate their roster for a potential championship run.

If you thought years in the past were hectic, well then buckle up because this has the potential to be the craziest free agency period the NBA has ever seen.

The salary cap is set to rise somewhere in the area of $94 million, which is a $24 million increase from the 2015-16 season. What does this mean?

Well, star players on the market are going to to get outrageous contracts and bench players who contribute about 20 minutes per game will see their pay increase to as high as $17 million to $19 million range per annum.

People will lose their minds that a guy like Harrison Barnes will receive multiple max contract offers and Ryan Anderson will be pressuring teams to throw three years and $50 million his way.

Both would sound crazy a year ago, but as the market continues to rise going into next summer, these huge contracts now won’t seem as big in the future.

Pretty much every team has enough space to pursue a max player, and the ones who don’t get those stars to sign on the dotted line aren’t going to end the summer empty-handed.

With that being said, let’s take a look at five teams to watch during the month of July.
