5 Roster Moves The Cleveland Cavaliers Need To Make
5. Re-Sign Richard Jefferson
I was going to let Richard Jefferson ride off into the sunset, the light glinting off his brand new Championship ring, then 1.3 million Cleveland Cavaliers fans shouted for him to come back for more and by the looks of it, Jefferson is most probably going to come back.
I guess you can’t replace that winning feeling.
Jefferson is a true veteran of the league. His 13 years between playoff starts is a record in the league and a testament to how long he has been around.
At 35, Jefferson is an incredibly high-energy small forward who will play the team game above all else.
I think that he is genuinely excited about playing basketball still, as opposed to it being what he does for a living. It shows and it is incredibly infectious.
Jefferson is at the stage of his life and career where he might accept less money to try and win the next championship and Cleveland needs his spirit and attitude around the locker room.
When the Cleveland Cavaliers play their best basketball, they are better than anybody. When they play poorly, it is painful to watch.
