4. Let Timofey Mozgov Go

The big center is not what he used to be. Since he had the knee issues, Timofey Mozgov appears to have lost confidence in his legs and therefore is not he defensive presence that he once was.

Mozgov had a bad season all around in this year. He had his worst scoring output per game (6.3) since the 2012-13 season (2.6), where he only played 41 games and averaged 8.9  minutes per contest.

His rebounding, both offensive (1.4) and defensive (3.0) have also slipped back, being the worst numbers he has put up since that 2012-13 season as well (1.2 and 1.4).

He is just not the same player that joined Cleveland mid way through last season. He has lost his starting spot to essentially a power forward in Tristan Thompson and I think will be looking for a new team come July 1.

Cleveland has Thompson, Channing Fyre and Sasha Kaun who can play center and with the NBA going towards small ball, I can’t see this being too much of an issue for the defending champions.

Mozgov will have plenty of teams interested in his services, so it is time to move on and let him go.
