1. Re-Sign Harrison Barnes

Harrison Barnes is an important part of the Warriors. Sure, they went 14-2 when he wasn’t playing due to injury in the regular season, but it is especially in the playoffs where Barnes shines brightest.

He performed poorly in the last three games against Cleveland and Golden State lost all three.

I am not blaming Barnes for the losses, I am just highlighting how important he is. In those games, Barnes went 2-for-14, 0-for-8 and 3-for-10 from the field.

Barnes is such a good player that he will demand more than the $3.8 million contract that he has been on at the end of his rookie scale contracts.

I think that there will be teams that will offer Barnes close to maximum deals as the former seventh pick in the 2012 draft still has plenty of room to grow.

Barnes is a really good versatile defender, be it guarding power forwards, small forwards or shooting guards. This versatility has helped Golden State play some incredible basketball.

The problem for Golden State is that they already have $80 million committed next year to eight players, including Jason Thompson, who was waived.

It will be interesting to see how Golden State fit Barnes into their cap, considering what he will be offered to go elsewhere.
